Walhalla in Deventer is a youth run venue operated entirely by volunteers, hosting events every Friday and Saturday evening. More than 45 volunteers organize activities ranging from parties to educational programs for young people in the city. Originally rooted in the squatter movement, it now operates legally while maintaining its community oriented approach to youth culture.
About Martine
Martine got into DJing around 2004, playing as a duo with Eva Maria. They threw their own parties in squats in Amsterdam, and Martine also ran weekly Thursday drinks at the record shop KillaCutz, a spot where a love of music and a sense of community went hand in hand.
