Royal Theatre Carré (Koninklijk Theater Carré) is a Neo-Renaissance theatre located along the river Amstel in Amsterdam, originally built in 1887 as a permanent circus building. With approximately 1,700 seats, it is one of the most celebrated venues in the Netherlands, hosting musicals, cabaret, opera, dance, and pop concerts.
About Andreas Vollenweider
Andreas Vollenweider plays a harp unlike any other, because he built it himself. The Swiss musician designed his own electroacoustic harp after finding traditional versions too limiting, and the result is something The New York Times described as "swirling atmospheric music, which evokes nature, magic and fairy tales".
