Theater de Voorveghter

Badhuisplein 3

7772 XA Hardenberg

Theater de Voorveghter in Hardenberg traces its origins to 1989, when it grew out of a small hall on Badhuisplein 3 that had already been hosting modest cultural activities for some years. Since then the venue has expanded considerably, and what was once a single intimate space has developed into a multi room complex with two dedicated theater halls alongside three cinema screens, one of which also functions as a smaller theater space. That combination of theatrical and cinematic programming under one roof gives De Voorveghter a character that is broader than a typical regional performance venue. Volunteers are central to how the building operates, taking on the work of welcoming audiences, supporting artists and ensuring that productions run smoothly. The programming at De Voorveghter covers a wide range of genres and formats.
