Trouble Tree Folkconcerts is a non profit folk club in Koudekerk aan den Rijn that has organized eight to ten concerts annually for 26 years. The venue presents folk, blues, singer songwriters and world music in an intimate setting at the Slotzaal of the Ridderhof. Performances are designed as listening events rather than social venues, operated entirely by volunteers.

Dean Owens is a Scottish singer songwriter with nine solo albums to his name, recorded in locations including the United States and Italy. His music moves across americana, folk, roots rock and what some describe as desert noir, and he has collaborated with artists such as Calexico, Grant Lee Phillips and Gaby Moreno.
