Patronaat is one of the ten largest alternative pop music venues in the Netherlands, established in 1984 in a former gymnasium of a Catholic boys school in Haarlem. The current building, which opened in September 2005 following a major renovation, contains a main hall with capacity for 1,000, a smaller hall for 300, and a two storey café with a small stage for free concerts and DJ sets. The venue now organizes approximately 450 activities annually attracting around 135,000 visitors, programming across indie, rock, metal, jazz, electronic and other forms of pop music.

About Etran de L'Aïr

Etran de L'Aïr, whose name translates to "stars of the Aïr," are a band of brothers and cousins from the Abalane neighbourhood in Agadez, Niger, and they play a style that sits squarely in the Tuareg desert blues tradition that Tinariwen helped put on the map decades ago.
