Paard is a cultural and social venue in The Hague that opened on October 21, 1972, originally named Paard van Troje. Established as a youth center by activists with support from local government and the youth project Ruimte, it was housed in a former girls' boarding school on Prinsegracht. The venue served as a meeting place for The Hague's young people, offering support and advice alongside cultural programming and community engagement through visitor councils.
About Hiigo
Hiigo formed in Zwolle when singer and guitarist Hans van de Werf decided he no longer wanted to perform alone and brought together a group of like minded musicians to share the stage. The band rounds out with guitarist Dion van der Geest, bassist Aart de Gier, keyboardist Peter Terluin, and drummer Koen Gardebroek.
