Effenaar is a pop music venue in Eindhoven's city center, housed in a former linen factory that operated until 1971. The building's name derives from the machinery once used to press fabrics. After functioning as a youth center from 1971, it gradually developed into a cultural space and obtained official status as a pop venue in 1980. The current facility, completed in 2005, contains a small hall for 400 people, a larger hall for 1300, and a casual restaurant and bar.
