Doornroosje in Nijmegen was founded in 1970 as a creative activities center in a squatted school building, initially serving as a gathering place for hippies. The venue became known as one of the first places in the Netherlands where cannabis was openly available. It programmed many bands, often before they achieved wider recognition.

About Joshua Idehen

Joshua Idehen defies easy categorisation. The UK poet, philosopher and songwriter treats music as an outlet for existential anxiety, but wraps that weight in dancefloor energy and dry humour. His sound sits somewhere between spoken word and club music, driven by house beats and a sharp political wit.
