About Kika Sprangers Quintet
Saxophonist Kika Sprangers keeps this quintet small and close, built around melancholy tones and compositions that tell stories. Her music for the group circles around rivers as a metaphor for a human life, the way it flows, wanders, meanders or sometimes churns hard.
