Theater Orpheus opened in Apeldoorn on 12 March 1965 and ranks among the larger theaters in the Netherlands. Following major renovations in 2003 and 2004, its largest hall was updated to accommodate approximately 1300 seats with good acoustics, making it well suited for concerts, musical theater, opera and classical music.

Nathalie Baartman is a Dutch cabaret performer from Twente who has built up a catalogue of eight theatre shows. Her work sits somewhere between sharp observational comedy and something more personal: she is drawn to themes of human suffering, the natural world and what it means to live an authentic life.
