The Nederlands Saxofoon Octet is a Dutch group of eight saxophonists working in contemporary classical territory. They have a particular claim to fame in the tango world: they were the first Dutch ensemble to get permission from Astor Piazzolla's heirs to rework his tango opera Maria de Buenos Aires.
