Paard is a cultural and social venue in The Hague that opened on October 21, 1972, originally named Paard van Troje. Established as a youth center by activists with support from local government and the youth project Ruimte, it was housed in a former girls' boarding school on Prinsegracht. The venue served as a meeting place for The Hague's young people, offering support and advice alongside cultural programming and community engagement through visitor councils.
About Rjay
Rjay is a Den Haag based artist with Surinamese roots whose sound pulls together rap, R&B and afro into something that feels both atmospheric and urgent. He sings as well as raps, and the blend carries a distinct urban energy rooted in the dancehall, hiphop and reggae he grew up around.
