The Koninklijke Schouwburg in The Hague reopened on 18 September 1999 following major renovations. Since 2017 it has been part of Het Nationale Theater, the Netherlands' largest touring theater company. The venue operates as one of several locations for Het Nationale Theater, which uniquely consolidates programming and production of theater performances under one organization.
