TivoliVredenburg is a contemporary music complex situated in the centre of Utrecht, Netherlands, featuring five acoustically distinct halls designed for a variety of genres including symphonic, pop, jazz, chamber music, and dance. Opened in 2014 as a merger of the former Tivoli Oudegracht and Muziekcentrum Vredenburg, the venue attracts around 1.3 million visitors per year.
About Sonico
Sonico is a jazzy tango ensemble from Brussels with a mission: keeping the music of Argentine composer Eduardo Rovira (1925 to 1980) alive and audible. Rovira was, much like his compatriot Astor Piazzolla, a pioneer of avant garde tango, and both men pushed the form well past its traditional boundaries.
