Doornroosje in Nijmegen was founded in 1970 as a creative activities center in a squatted school building, initially serving as a gathering place for hippies. The venue became known as one of the first places in the Netherlands where cannabis was openly available. It programmed many bands, often before they achieved wider recognition.
About Sonido Gallo Negro
Sonido Gallo Negro is an instrumental band from the east side of Mexico City that takes 1960s Peruvian cumbia and pushes it somewhere stranger.
