Munttheater

Collegeplein 3

6001 HN Weert

The Munttheater is the main theatre of Weert, a town in the Dutch province of Limburg. It works as a classic performing arts venue rather than a dedicated pop club, and its programme reflects that. Dance, theatre and cabaret share the calendar with music, and the building sits on the touring circuit that links theatres across the Netherlands. On the music side, the programme leans toward artists and shows that suit a seated theatre audience. Dutch singer Waylon has a date listed at the venue for November 2026, and a U2 cover duo, U250, includes the Munttheater among the theatres on its autumn tour. Blues also finds its way in. A tour by the American soul and blues singer Johnny Rawls lists Weert among its Dutch stops, alongside other theatres around the country. The venue also hosts tribute and nostalgia productions, among them a show that takes audiences back through the music of past decades, a format that tends to fill regional theatres well.

About The Bluebettes

The Bluebettes are an all female Dutch group who sing, play and joke their way through classic rock and roll. Their close, polished harmonies and playful stage banter are what people tend to remember.
