Dutch source text: """ Schouwburg Venray is een theater in Venray, een stad in de Noord Limburgse gemeente Venray. Het theater biedt een breed scala aan voorstellingen, waaronder toneel, muziek, cabaret en dans. """ Schouwburg Venray is a theater located on Schouwburgplein in Venray, a town in the northern part of the Dutch province of Limburg. As the main performing arts venue for the region, it presents a broad range of live programming that spans theater, music, cabaret, and dance. The variety on offer reflects the general programming model of a Dutch municipal schouwburg, serving audiences from Venray itself as well as the surrounding Noord Limburg area. On the music side, the venue has hosted tribute productions and touring concert shows, with past events including a Queen tribute performance titled "The Freddie Mercury Story" and appearances by international acts such as the percussion and recycled materials ensemble Scrap Arts Music. This mix of tribute acts, world music, and theatrical concert productions is fairly typical of the programming a regional schouwburg in the Netherlands puts together to serve a wide local audience rather than a single genre community. Schouwburg Venray sits at the heart of Venray's cultural life, and the address at Schouwburgplein places it at a dedicated arts square in the town center. While it is not a specialist music club or festival venue, it functions as the primary stage for larger scale live events in the municipality, filling a role that smaller towns in the Netherlands rely on a single versatile theater to cover. Visitors can expect a formal theater setting rather than a standing room or club atmosphere.
