Patronaat is one of the ten largest alternative pop music venues in the Netherlands, established in 1984 in a former gymnasium of a Catholic boys school in Haarlem. The current building, which opened in September 2005 following a major renovation, contains a main hall with capacity for 1,000, a smaller hall for 300, and a two storey café with a small stage for free concerts and DJ sets. The venue now organizes approximately 450 activities annually attracting around 135,000 visitors, programming across indie, rock, metal, jazz, electronic and other forms of pop music.
About The Three Degrees
Few vocal groups can claim a run quite like The Three Degrees. The Philadelphia trio topped the UK Singles Chart in 1974 with "When Will I See You Again", making them the first all female group to do so since The Supremes a decade earlier. That song hit number two in the US and sold over two million copies there alone.
