Alex Warren has been announced as the first headliner of Heartland 2027. The American singer songwriter will close out Friday evening on June 11 at the Danish festival, making it one of the earliest major names locked in for the season. It also marks Warren's festival debut in Denmark, which is notable for an artist who earlier this year sold out the Royal Arena in Copenhagen.

When it comes to his tour schedule, Warren is making clear he takes Europe seriously. Around Heartland he is also playing the Jazz Open Festival in Germany, and from June 20 onward he has a run of outdoor shows in the UK and Ireland lined up, including a performance in Cardiff on that same 20th. Pinkpop 2027 falls right in that window, taking place on June 18, 19 and 20 in Landgraaf.

For Dutch festivalgoers, the question of whether Warren will also show up in Landgraaf is therefore very relevant. His schedule suggests that Friday the 18th of June would be the most logical fit, since on the final day of Pinkpop he is already set to be in Cardiff. It would also be his Dutch festival debut, because although he sold out a packed Ziggo Dome twice this spring, he has not yet played the major festival circuit in the Benelux.

Warren broke through quickly with songs like Ordinary and released his second album WILDCHILD in August. The comparison with Zara Larsson at Pinkpop 2026 comes to mind naturally: she too shot up in popularity through social media and proved that limited festival experience in the Benelux does not have to stand in the way of an impressive performance on a big stage. Whether Pinkpop will actually add Warren to the lineup has not been confirmed yet, but the pieces of his European summer planning fit together in a way that is hard to ignore.
