The Kid LAROI shot to global attention with 'Stay', his 2021 collab with Justin Bieber that hit number one in Australia, Canada, and the US Billboard Hot 100. Born Charlton Kenneth Jeffrey Howard in Waterloo, Sydney, he blends hip hop, emo rap, and pop rap in a style that owes something to his early admiration for Juice Wrld and Kanye West's 808s era. His debut mixtape F*ck Love made him the youngest Australian solo act ever to top the ARIA Charts, and its re issue delivered 'Without You', which climbed into the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100 after a remix with Miley Cyrus. His debut studio album The First Time arrived in 2023, backed by singles including 'Love Again' and 'Too Much', the latter featuring Jung Kook and Central Cee. He has since released a second album, Before I Forget, which cracked the top five on both the ARIA Charts and the Billboard 200.
