About
Also known as: トゥーピーエム (2PM), 투피엠, 투피엠 (2PM)
2PM built their name on being the "beast idols" of K pop, trading polished sweetness for intense choreography full of acrobatics and breakdancing. Formed by JYP Entertainment and debuting in 2008, the group topped the charts early with "Again & Again", picked up the 2009 MAMA Award for Artist of the Year, and followed it with hits like "Heartbeat", "Without U", "I'll Be Back" and "Hands Up". Their debut album 01:59PM went to number one on the first Gaon Album Chart. As the members got older, the stunts faded out and a more gentlemanly image took over, while they started writing and producing more of their own music. They also became huge in Japan, where albums like Legend of 2PM and Galaxy of 2PM topped the Oricon chart, and in Thailand too. After a hiatus for military service, they came back in 2021 with the Korean album Must and the Japanese EP With Me Again.
