About
Alfie Templeman was recording full tracks in his bedroom at 13, and by 18 he had a proper debut EP out on Chess Club Records. That first release, Like an Animal, came out in 2018 and he wrote, performed and produced the whole thing himself after school. His early sound leaned into what he called "indie R&B", pulling inspiration from TV show characters rather than personal autobiography, which gave it a distinctly offbeat feel. Since then he has kept pushing his sound in new directions. His debut album Mellow Moon arrived in 2022, with "3D Feelings" produced by Justin Young of The Vaccines among its highlights. Then came Radiosoul in 2024, a more experimental record that featured a collaboration with Nile Rodgers on "Just a Dance". A multi instrumentalist and self taught producer, Templeman is genuinely one of those rare acts who handles almost every part of the process himself.
