Altin Gün, formed in Amsterdam, is a multi national group that has built a devoted following across the globe with their take on Turkish psychedelic grooves. The band blends Anatolian rock with funk, psychedelic folk and indie rock sensibilities, creating a sound that feels both rooted in tradition and completely unbound by it. Their music pulls from the rich vein of classic Turkish psych while running it through a filter that appeals to modern audiences far outside Turkey's borders. Full rooms on multiple continents are pretty much a given when they play.
