About
ARTBAT are a Ukrainian DJ and production duo from Kyiv, made up of Artur Kryvenko and Vitaliy "Batish" Limarenko. Their sound moves across techno, deep house and melodic house, and they first put themselves on the map in 2015 with "Mandrake", a track that British legend Richie Hawtin played in every single one of his sets for a full year. By 2018 their track "Taboo" had sat at the top of Beatport's deep house chart for eleven weeks straight, and in 2019 they were named Breakthrough Artist of the Year by the DJ Awards, Mixmag's Stars of the Year, and Beatport's best selling act all at once. In 2021 they launched their own label, Upperground, and have since worked with a wide cast of names including CamelPhat, Armin van Buuren and Benny Benassi. They recorded their first BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix in late 2023, remixed The Chemical Brothers in 2024, and that same month played to 8,000 people at Real Madrid's Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. A collab with Benny Benassi, "Love Is Gonna Save Us", followed in 2025.
