About
Banji is a four piece from Utrecht that refuses to stay in one lane. Their indie rock leans into alternative indie, electro funk and playful hip hop, and they seem to go looking for the edges between genres on purpose. The result is music built on beats, big hooks and lines that stick in your head, all produced with a tight, polished feel. The band took a long break from playing live, using that stretch to disappear into the studio and work on a record. When they came back out, they returned to the stage in a big way, with festival slots at Wilde Weide and a support show for Hiqpy at Paradiso among their first outings.
