About
Barn & Belle are a duo from the Dutch province of Limburg who blend Bluegrass, Ragtime, Swing, Folk, Country and Blues into something they call their own. Armed with acoustic guitar, Dobro, washboard, a compact travelling drum kit and two voices, their sound nods firmly to the music of the 1930s and 40s, all wrapped in tight close harmony singing. The two met at the Maastricht Conservatoire and started making music together in early 2018. After building their live reputation at events like Southern Bluesnight and Mama's Pride, they won the Dutch Blues Challenge in 2022 and went on to represent the Netherlands at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis. That trip turned into a six week tour through the American South, performing regularly along the way. Back home, they released their second EP 'The Dead Don't Dance' in early 2023, appeared on Holland's Got Talent, and recorded their debut full length album 'Safe Travels' in both the Netherlands and Nashville.
