Bea Miller got her big break on the US version of X Factor in 2012, finishing ninth, and has been building a sharp electropop catalog ever since. Signed to Hollywood Records, she dropped her debut EP in 2014, followed by her first full album Not an Apology in 2015, and then Aurora in 2018. Her sound leans into emotionally raw territory, and that quality really clicked with her 2019 single "Feel Something", a futurepop track she co wrote with Justin Tranter and producer Mike Sabath about the strange emptiness of feeling neither good nor bad. The song sat quietly for almost a year before a fan made TikTok mashup sent it viral, eventually landing it on Spotify's Today's Top Hits and getting it serviced to American Top 40 radio in late 2020.
