Few artists have reshaped popular music as thoroughly as Beyoncé. She first broke through as the lead voice of Destiny's Child, one of the best selling girl groups ever, before launching a solo career with Dangerously in Love in 2003. From there she kept reinventing herself: the funk driven B'Day, the surprise visual album Beyoncé, and the politically charged Lemonade, which sparked genuine sociopolitical conversation and became the world's best selling album of 2016. Her ongoing trilogy project continued with Renaissance, a queer inspired dance record, and Cowboy Carter, a country album rooted in Americana that spotlights Black pioneers too often left out of that genre's history. She holds a record 35 Grammy Awards and was the first woman to headline an all stadium tour. Numbers like "Crazy in Love", "Single Ladies", "Break My Soul" and "Texas Hold 'Em" speak for themselves.
