BigXthaPlug, born Xavier Landum in Dallas, Texas, came up the hard way before music became his way out. He spent time in solitary confinement in 2022 and used that time to write songs, a habit that actually dated back to an earlier jail stint where he first put pen to paper on a medical form. After his release he dropped Amar, his debut album named after his son, in February 2023. The record contained "Texas", which went Gold, and set him up as one of the more compelling voices coming out of the Dallas trap scene. His follow up single "Mmhmm" proved he wasn't a one hit story, climbing to number 65 on the Billboard Hot 100 after a remix with Finesse2tymes featured on his EP The Biggest. He also launched his own imprint, 600 Entertainment, signing artists Ro$ama and Yung Hood. Signed to UnitedMasters, BigXthaPlug has kept the momentum going with a steady run of visuals into 2025, including a team up with country artist Bailey Zimmerman.
