About
Also known as: Blood For Blood
Blood for Blood came out of Boston's hardcore scene in 1994, soaking up the sounds of both Boston and New York while naming Sheer Terror, Breakdown, Carnivore and Killing Time as touchstones. After a run of self released demos and EPs, they signed to Victory Records in 1997 and put out a string of albums, including Revenge on Society, Livin' in Exile, Outlaw Anthems and Serenity. Along the way they toured Europe and shared stages with Dropkick Murphys, Anti Flag, Sick Of It All and Most Precious Blood. AllMusic describes their sound as hardcore with metal and punk mixed in. The band went quiet after Serenity in 2004, came back in 2010, then went dark again in 2012 after singer Erick Medina was dismissed from the band. Now there is fresh news: in December 2025 they announced a new deal with Roadrunner Records and their first single in 21 years, "You're Gonna Have to Kill Me", with a rebuilt lineup around founding guitarist Rob Lind and bassist Ian McFarland.
