Bring Me the Horizon started out as a deathcore band from Sheffield, and over roughly two decades they've pulled off one of the more dramatic stylistic transformations in rock. Their 2008 album Suicide Season marked the first real pivot, moving toward metalcore, and they kept pushing further with There Is a Hell Believe Me I've Seen It (2010), which blended metalcore with classical music, electronica and pop. By the time Sempiternal landed in 2013, they had a major label and a sound that felt genuinely their own. Their sixth studio album Amo (2019) gave them their first UK number one, and they've kept the momentum going with the Post Human series, a planned four part project. Post Human: Survival Horror arrived in 2020 and Post Human: Nex Gen followed in 2024. Along the way they've racked up a BRIT Award for Best Rock/Alternative Act, two Grammy nominations, seven Kerrang! Awards, and well over five million records sold worldwide. They also collaborated with Ed Sheeran on a version of Bad Habits, which says a lot about how far their reach has extended.
