Brothers in Band are a Spanish rock group who have dedicated themselves entirely to the music of Dire Straits, and they do it with a precision that makes you forget you're watching a tribute act. The guitar work is the centrepiece: the fingerpicking style, warm tone and relaxed timing associated with Mark Knopfler are reproduced with an accuracy that feels genuinely uncanny, less imitation than deep musical understanding. Their setlist covers the full Dire Straits catalogue, from early pub rock through to the polished sound of the later records.
