About
The Busch Trio once set themselves a big task: recording everything Dvořák wrote for chamber music with piano. The result is four CDs, two of piano trios, one of piano quartets and one of quintets, which makes the group something of a specialist in the Czech composer. The ensemble is a piano trio, though the database lists them in the string quartet and chamber music world, and they are based in London. They like to expand the lineup when the repertoire calls for it. Working with violinist Maria Milstein and violist Miguel da Silva, they have found a natural musical chemistry and a warm, blended ensemble sound. That combination suits Dvořák's piano quintets especially well, including the Opus 81, a piece Brahms was reportedly very fond of.
