About
Also known as: Christine Nicole Chlapecka
Rolling Stone called Chrissy Chlapecka one of the brightest pop stars to watch in 2023, comparing her charisma to Paris Hilton's pop era and Britney Spears' Blackout. The St. Charles, Illinois artist blends hyperpop, bubblegum pop, and electropop into a sound that mirrors her larger than life TikTok persona, built around reclaiming the bimbo aesthetic in a queer, feminist, and leftist frame. Her debut single "I'm So Hot" went viral before it even dropped, and she followed it with a string of standalone tracks before releasing her EP Girlie Pop in mid 2024. Beyond the music, Chlapecka performed vocals on "Bodysuit", the finale song for season 16 of RuPaul's Drag Race, sung by drag queen Plane Jane. Her persona has been described as "if Lady Gaga were your favorite barista dishing out advice and zingers", which honestly tracks: sharp sociopolitical commentary wrapped in pink faux fur and a breathy falsetto. People placed her at number four on their Talented 2024 Spring Emerging Artists list, and her most recent upload, "Passionfruit", landed in 2025.
