About
Coldplace are a Coldplay tribute band from Grimsby, a fishing town on the north coast of England, formed by devoted fans of the band they celebrate. They have taken the act to more than twenty countries and played hundreds of shows, including appearances at Dutch festivals such as Bospop, Paaspop and Huntenpop. The scale of that touring footprint puts them at the top of the global Coldplay tribute scene. What sets them apart from a straight covers band is the attention to detail. Lead singer Shane Crofts has a voice that naturally resembles Chris Martin, and the full lineup is assembled specifically so that the more complex, layered Coldplay arrangements can be recreated faithfully. Add the right visuals and instrumentation and the set covers the full sweep of Coldplay's catalogue, from 'Yellow' through to 'Viva la Vida' and 'Sky Full of Stars'.
