OneRepublic built their early momentum the old fashioned internet way, becoming the number one unsigned act on MySpace before any label came calling. The Colorado Springs pop rock band finally landed with Timbaland's Mosley Music Group, and their 2007 debut Dreaming Out Loud introduced them to the world via "Apologize", a Timbaland remixed single that hit number one in sixteen countries and earned a Grammy nomination. From there, the band kept growing their footprint: "Counting Stars" from their 2013 album Native peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 and cracked the top five in a string of countries, while Native itself became their highest charting album, peaking at number four on the Billboard 200. Over six studio albums, OneRepublic have shifted their sound enough that even the band acknowledged Oh My My (2016) marked a real departure from what came before. Their sixth album, Artificial Paradise, arrived in 2024, and they have stayed active since, contributing music to projects including the anime Kaiju No. 8 and the game Arknights Endfield, and teaming up with David Guetta on "I Don't Wanna Wait". Sixteen million records sold worldwide, and they are still adding to the pile.
