About
Critical Defiance is a thrash metal band from Valparaíso, Chile, and they've been steadily building a catalogue that's hard to ignore. Four albums so far: Misconception in 2019, No Life Forms in 2022, The Search Won't Fall in 2024, and Rivers of Blood in 2026, with several of them put out through Dying Victims Productions. Their sound sits in thrash and speed metal territory, and the band has leaned into visuals along the way, with official videos for "No Life Forms" and "The Search Won't Fall" and a lyric video for "Helpless World". More recently they put up a live recording from Teatro Municipal de Viña del Mar, captured in July 2025, which is a good way to hear how the songs hold up on stage.
