About
Customs are a rock band from Leuven, Belgium, who built a real following with their English language songs and a knack for landing on the right side of catchy without going soft. Their debut single Rex made a strong impression early on, spending weeks in the Belgian Ultratop 50 and hitting number one on Studio Brussel's alternative chart De Afrekening. Three studio albums followed over the years, starting with Enter the Characters in 2009, then Harlequins of Love in 2011, and The Market in 2014. After announcing they were calling it a day in early 2018, they still put out their fourth album Magik, a limited vinyl and CD package of just 100 numbered copies. That looked like the end of the story, but in late 2024 the four piece reunited and started releasing new music again, including the track Regina in early 2025. The band's lineup centers on Kristof Uittebroek on vocals and guitar, Jelle Janse on guitar, Bart Sels on bass, and Brecht Put on drums.
