About
Named after a Nation of Ulysses song off their album Plays Pretty for Baby, The Hickey Underworld have been one of Belgium's more interesting alternative rock exports since forming in Antwerp. Winning Humo's Rock Rally in 2006 gave them a serious early boost, and they followed that up with a self titled debut in 2009, then I'm Under The House, I'm Dying in 2012, and III in 2015. Their sound sits in the post punk and alternative rock space, and they have clearly kept the momentum going. Singles like Living On Big Foot and Wall On The Fly landed in 2023, Euromancer and Constant Wave On A Rock followed in 2025, and their fourth album Cold Sun is listed for 2026, suggesting the band is in a productive stretch right now.
