About
Also known as: 데이식스
Day6 are a South Korean pop rock band who write, compose and produce their own music, which sets them apart in a scene full of manufactured acts. They debuted in 2015 with the EP The Day, which landed at No.2 on Billboard's World Album Chart in its first week. The lineup is Sungjin, Young K, Wonpil and Dowoon, after Junhyeok left in 2016 and Jae in 2021. Their most ambitious move was the 2017 project Every Day6, where they dropped two songs on the sixth of every month for a full year. It added up to 25 songs, from hard rock and sing along anthems to mellow ballads. The first half became their debut album Sunrise, which Billboard ranked among the 25 greatest K pop albums of the 2010s, while the kickoff track "I Wait" made their list of the decade's 100 greatest K pop songs. The second half became the follow up, Moonrise.
