About
De Staat are a rock band from Nijmegen who built their reputation the hard way, through relentless live shows that turned a one man project by frontman Torre Florim into a full band with a serious following. Their 2013 album I_CON was a turning point, reaching number 2 on the Dutch Album Top 100 and landing a track on the FIFA 14 soundtrack. The animated music video for "Witch Doctor" cemented their status further, taking nearly nine months to produce and winning Best Concept at the Berlin Music Video Awards in 2016. Their 2016 album "O" swept up multiple Dutch music awards, including a 3FM Award for Best Album. More recently the band has kept busy with singles like "Look At Me" and "Who's Gonna Be The GOAT?", showing no signs of letting up.
