Depeche Mood is a Dutch tribute act dedicated to the music of Depeche Mode, working in the synth pop and new wave territory that made their source material a cultural landmark. Rather than going for a note for note imitation, the band centres on capturing the feeling of Depeche Mode: the tension between intimacy and scale, the pulsing electronics, the dark romanticism and those melodies that somehow feel both fragile and enormous at the same time. Their setlists reflect real ambition. Crowd favourites like Enjoy the Silence, Personal Jesus and Just Can't Get Enough are all present, but so are deep album cuts, B sides and overlooked gems that rarely get aired at a standard tribute night. The result covers the full arc of Depeche Mode's catalogue, from grimy club sized early records through to stadium filling anthems.
