About
Discovery Zone is the experimental pop project of JJ Weihl, a New York musician who also works as a multimedia artist. Her debut album Remote Control built a slow but unmistakable following, and the second record, Quantum Web, landed on RVNG Intl. and Mansions and Millions in 2024, with an expanded edition the year after. That one wanders into uncanny valley territory, where sincerity and irony blur together and so does the line between human and posthuman. Live, the music opens up into a big, wide pop sound: clear, upfront vocals wrapped in baroque instrumental flourishes. She plays a whole lab's worth of instruments and pairs them with 3D visuals, treating the universe as a source of information to poke around in. Library Copy Do Not Remove, her third album, also came out on RVNG Intl.
