Few artists have reshaped hip hop the way Drake has. The Toronto rapper built a reputation on blending singing and rapping into something the genre hadn't quite seen before, and the numbers back it up: over 170 million units sold, more Billboard Hot 100 number one singles than any other male solo artist, and a record 13 weeks at the top of the Billboard 200 with Views in 2016. His second single from that album, One Dance, was the first song ever to surpass one billion streams on Spotify. His catalog runs from the breakthrough mixtape So Far Gone through landmark albums like Take Care, which landed on Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums list, and Scorpion, whose singles God's Plan, Nice for What, and In My Feelings collectively spent 29 weeks at number one on the Hot 100. Off the mic, he runs the OVO Sound record label, the OVO fashion label, and the Nocta collaboration with Nike, and he holds the role of global ambassador for the Toronto Raptors. Billboard named him Artist of the Decade for the 2010s.
