About
What started as a joke between two art school friends turned into one of the more distinctive acts in electronic music. DROELOE blends future bass, future house and trap into something that feels genuinely considered, with an aesthetic sensibility that reflects co founder Hein Hamers's visual arts background. The duo scored an early landmark when their track "Jump" featuring Nevve landed in an Apple Watch ad in 2017, the same year they linked up with San Holo on "Lines of the Broken". After years as a duo, Hamers departed in 2020, and Vincent Rooijers has carried the project forward solo. A retrospective anthology, A Matter of Perspective, wrapped up that chapter. Rooijers then pushed into new territory with the album The Art of Change, a multi single rollout featuring collaborators including Banji and Transviolet, showing the project still has plenty to say.
