Ellie Goulding (GB)

About

Also known as: Elena Jane Goulding, 艾丽·高登

Ellie Goulding has a knack for making pop music feel both massive and intimate, blending electropop textures with a voice that cuts right through. Her debut album Lights shot to No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart in 2010, with tracks like "Starry Eyed" and "The Writer" quickly becoming fixtures on playlists everywhere. She also covered Elton John's "Your Song" around that time, showing early on that she could make a classic feel completely her own. Since then she has stacked up four consecutive UK number one albums, a feat that ties her with Adele as the British female with the most chart toppers in UK history. Along the way she picked up a Grammy nomination for "Love Me Like You Do", the smash from the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack, and reunited with Calvin Harris on "Miracle", which spent eight non consecutive weeks at the top of the UK singles chart in 2023. Over 27 million albums sold worldwide puts the scale of her reach in pretty sharp focus.
