About
Also known as: Euros Owen Childs
Euros Childs built his reputation as the driving force behind Gorky's Zygotic Mynci, the beloved Welsh band he co founded and fronted for its entire run, writing most of the songs and playing keyboards throughout. When the band split in 2006 he threw himself into solo work with remarkable productivity, releasing album after album through his own label National Elf on a pay what you can basis. The variety is genuinely impressive: from the all Welsh language Bore Da to the Nashville recorded Cheer Gone featuring Lambchop's Matt Swanson, to Refresh!, which built 24 tracks entirely from his own voice fed through a sampler. He has also found time for side projects including the duo Jonny with Teenage Fanclub's Norman Blake, and in January 2019 he officially joined Teenage Fanclub as their keyboardist. His output has kept coming steadily ever since, with solo records landing pretty much every December.
