About
Everyday Sunday built a solid run in the Christian rock and pop punk world out of Columbus, Ohio, led by frontman Trey Pearson. Their Inpop Records debut, Wake Up! Wake Up!, proved to be a commercial breakthrough, with the title track becoming the number one played Christian rock song of 2007 and Find Me Tonight landing the tenth most played spot on U.S. Christian Hit Radio that same year. They kept the momentum going with Best Night of Our Lives, whose title track hit number one on Christian Rock for five straight weeks in 2009, followed by Breathing for Me pulling off the same feat in 2010. Over the course of their run they released six studio albums across multiple labels, from early Flicker Records releases like Anthems for the Imperfect through to their independent 2013 EP A New Beginning. The band went through a revolving door of members over the years, though Pearson remained the constant at the center of it all. In 2016 he publicly came out as gay, a move that sparked real controversy at Joshua Fest, one of the bigger Christian music festivals, where pressure from staff led to his removal from the lineup.
