Felukah wears several hats at once: Egyptian rapper, singer, poet, and activist. What sets her apart is the way she weaves Arabic cultural roots into western sounds, an approach that has earned her the label 'Arabfuturist songstress' and placed her at the forefront of a new wave of Arab women in music. That combination of artistry and outspoken identity has drawn audiences across the Middle East and the western world alike, leading to performances and collaborations tied to events and institutions such as the FIFA World Cup, Harvard University, the Brooklyn Museum, and Boiler Room TV. Her collaborative project with Xiuhtezcatl, titled 'AZÚCAR / ﺳﻛرة', captures the experience of diaspora through a multilingual blend of Arabic, Spanish, and English. The track explores themes of movement, belonging, loyalty, and finding sweetness amid hardship. Another project, Hibiskiss, is also part of her recent body of work.
