Fleurie, the stage name of Lauren Strahm, makes the kind of music that TV and film editors reach for when they need something atmospheric and emotionally loaded. Her songs have landed in Outlander, Pretty Little Liars, Shadowhunters, Grey's Anatomy, and dozens of other shows, and her debut full length Love and War from 2016 is largely responsible for that ubiquity. That album also caught Kendrick Lamar's ear: he sampled her track 'Don't Let Me Down' on 'Feel' from his 2017 record Damn. Her profile got a serious boost from a 2018 collaboration with producer Tommee Profitt on a cover of Linkin Park's 'In the End', which racked up over a billion views on YouTube. She released her third album, Supertropicali, in June 2023, showing no signs of slowing down. Mixing dark ambient textures with dream pop and indie pop sensibilities, Fleurie has carved out a sound that is immediately recognizable without being easy to pin down.
